On a recent visit to China, the town I visited had 700,000 more males than females. I saw, not these particular posters, but advertisements in newspapers giving cash and various gifts for a successful marriage to the male. India, will eventually have a reverse dowry system in place as well, as the male population continues to skyrocket.
