I had to confiscate many of my dad's ties from the 70s. My personal favorite: a wide-ass tie, with batiked pink elephants walking (trunk to tail) across it diagonally.

That's the lining of his jacket, lit up by the flash. Sheesh. You can see that it runs low on his right side and then goes high on his left b/c his arm is up.

I was more impressed by the *ahem* crease on the left leg of his trousers (the right most leg of the photo)
