Ok Arun, I’ll marry you, but only if I can ride an elephant to the wedding!News

Liz Hurley and Arun Nayer are finally getting hitched. The wedding is planned for February of next year, and will be held in Rajasthan. This will be a “spectacular affair with no expense spared to show the world how much she loves Arun,” and she has warned guests that they should keep the entire month free.

Liz, who turned 40 this weekend, is whole heartedly embracing the whole mirch-masala desi spirit of her wedding even though

… she gets horrifically ill whenever she sets foot in her lover’s country. Liz said she was sometimes left so weak doctors put her on a drip for days and has to take special care when eating, drinking - and even showering. She said: “I have a dry flannel right across my mouth like a gag when I take a shower. When I take my make-up off at night I don’t let water touch my lips. ” [cite]

Despite her Howard Hughes like ordeal in India’s five star establishments, she is very enthusiastic about the ceremony. She’s ready to trade in safety-pinned dresses for red wedding saris and to show up at her wedding riding an elephant. An elephant?

Liz has made up her mind that she wants an Indian princess-style wedding. She loves the colourful traditions of the country and wants to embrace them…. [and] is very keen to involve elephants in some way and hopes to arrive on one … It wouldn’t be the first time Liz and Arun have used an elephant as part of a celebration. The couple arrived side by side on one at his 40th birthday party last year. [cite]

While this same source also claimed that the use of elephants “depends on logistics and whether it actually fits in with the ceremony,” I’ll bet this is actually the first line of the pre-nup. You want me to get married in your germ-ridden country? I’m riding an elephant or we can call the whole thing off! Oh, she’s a real Indian princess already …

I echo this, but it will be fantastic entertainment value. All those proper Englishmen trying to get all ethnic on us. Bride and Prejudice multiplier effect.

I like elephants at weddings. The last Indian wedding I went to had an elephat, albeit and edlerly one that needed quite a bit of make-up. Who kne elephants used make-up?

Anyway, i see Jemima Khan all over this story, but it should make for good gossip.

look whom he's ditching for the unreasonably germphobic strumpet. i mean honestly, a gag over her face in the shower? keep it on all the time, why don't you liz. moron.

Lovin, you have it backwards. Gurinder Chadha wants desi women to be with white guys. I don't she's in favor of any sex for desi men.

Chadha wants all desi men to be either a flaming homosexual or neutered.

...heard through the grapevine of the trust-fund OC crowd, Liz Hurley dates super-rich guys because of their money...she's considered in some sense as the ultimate high-class hooker (she just had Steve Bing's baby a while back)...
the rumor is the same for Nicole Kidman...

I have no opinion on it at all - just some interesting chatter...

He's divorcing his ex-wife for 'mental torture'?? What exactly is that? He sounds like a real weenie-boy...

Ah - but he isn't super rich, and wont be unless he inherits. As for mental torture, being with somebody who has to wear a face mask in the shower sounds torturous to me ...

Is it like "she was mean to me, she called me names, she'd yell and throw things at me" ie, she was mentally unstable and he suffered?

or is it that he's obsessive-compulsive and she'd rearrange his desk or fold his socks "wrong" to mess with him? I don't get it...

Maybe he and the Masked Hurley deserve each other...

yeah sorry about that, I forgot the guy has to be white. Is she trying to beige the world down? I'm starting to consider her movies propaganda for "ethnic whitening"

oh how i hate this dumb, hypocritical whore:

Liz In A Flap Over Flab

Liz Hurley's landed herself in hot water after offering some less-than-subtle wardrobe hints to all the larger ladies out there.

When asked which item of clothing she would ban in a recent interview, she said, "Anything that is too small or too tight, unless you're slim and toned."

"I'm sick of seeing flab bulging out all over."

And that's not the only thing that Liz isn't keen on.

She also reckons that "bare legs in a mini-skirt can look dodgy at any age".

But it seems she can't make her mind up about this issue - according to The Sun, Liz reckons anybody can wear one, no matter how old you are.

"You can be 80 and wear a mini-skirt, as long as you have slimmish legs encased in thick tights," she said.

Oddly enough, Liz recently announced that her new range of beachwear and swimsuits had been tested on "real girls" rather than stick-thin models - including the large and extra-large sizes.

Obviously she doesn't mind people buying her own designs no matter what size they happen to be.
