Weird Al, meet weird VikHumor

We asked for just one little thing: stop it with the crappy FOB parodies. But no, you just had to make another one, didn’tcha

This new one by parodists MC Vikram and Ludakrishna is pretty cute: ‘Curry Rice Girl’ is ‘Hollaback Girl’ as a cry of matrimonial despair (thanks, Anita). This shit is bananas, B-I-O-D-A-T-A!

The sad thing is, this slapstick in-joke is indistinguishable from most ABCD movies on fast forward.

Watch the video. Here’s a backup torrent (you need a BitTorrent downloader: Windows, Mac).

Similar parodies: one, two, three, four

These guys have been at it for years though, I remember listening to them my freshman year of high school. If you are Malayalee, listen to their classic The Fam. Also, Welcome to India was created by them too..

No problems with the subject . I wish they were funny.

Guys, if you are listening don't give up your day job. I sincerely wish this is not your day job!

Oh come on. Even as a fob, it's pretty funny. Nothing wrong with being an IBCD. ;P

Yeah, it's stupid, but if you don't find it funny just lighten up, it is not a misrepresentation of our people, because whether we like it or not, there are indians who were lungi's and sound a bit similar to apu from the simpsons. The only thing that upsets me is that even when an indian makes a short film with indians, they always show the stereotype view of indians, and they are showed as narrow minded people who don't like white folk. We need to show a broader view of our people and we need to show many aspects of our people if we want to stop being stereotyped. By the way, check out my blog and call my voicemail at

Isn't weird Vik the fabulous Mr. Chatwal?

No he isn't. Vikram Chatwal is a great guy and appeared in One Dollar curry, but they are different people.

FOB parodies. How funny. When totem pole positions are low, one must look lower and lower. Accents will do - South Asia wallahs have been living off them forever and it seems like there is much humor to be mined yet.

Will FOB parodies help you find white girls, you wickedly funny lads you? Maybe you could do the accent in bed for a little post-coital humor? Or prance around the bedposts in a lungi ?

They are funny - funny because they're making fun of Gwen, who is *really* asking for it.

The only worthwhile comment I have heard in a while.

that was one of the most hilarious things ive seen in a long time. all you indian extremists who think that this is offensive in any way really are belittling the great sense of humor indians are known to have. you should be proud that people of alll cultures are watching this video and laughing and ejoying this. If anything, its building our credibility as people who can put out great humor, and laugh about it without being offended. get a life
