Hrithik is ALL Yours, t.Humor

Hirthik_1_2.jpg

While roaming about online, I came across a blog which quoted us— nothing scintillating, I know— but then I noticed the blog’s name: Beliefs, Blackness & Bollywood. The subtitle elaborates:

I talk about faith. I talk about the black experience in America. I talk about Bollywood. You’re welcome to join in.
If that weren’t enough to make me linger, I noticed that a few of her posts had irresistible titles. The finest of the bunch? “Just because you have 3 THUMBS doesn’t mean you’re not HOT…” Under THAT priceless declaration, blogger t.Hype ponders:

The question is not, “Is Hrithik hot?” The question is, “Would I scream in his face if he tried to shake my hand, or burst out crying?”

Excellent question, t. For the record, I’d probably do a triple-take if he tried to test my ex-debater grip. But then, subtlety thy name shall never be ANNA. ;)

She found the way to Bombay after a trying break-up:

It was around this time I discovered Bollywood. I suddenly found myself able to appreciate a movie like Dil Se. It is a story of heartbreak and a story of love. Melodrama aside, the film Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham impacted me deeply by the very idea that someone would ever go to such great lengths to bring their family back together. While I realize these are just films, they are based in an ideal, in a consciousness that organizes itself around love. In the words of India Arie, “I am ready for love.” At least for now I have Bollywood.

Follow her thoughts here; see her nod in agreement with erstwhile guest blogger Amardeep on the subject of unrealistic-looking Bollywood stars here.

Anna, you're not fooling anyone here. You just wanted to restore the bimbo-himbo balance on the blog right? Admit it!

didn't even cross my mind, i promise. :D i'm just consumed with this guy's, erm, unique characteristics. it's one thing to have an extra nipple or something the world rarely sees, but...i thought she had a valid point with the whole "shaking hands" thing. ;)

honestly, i was just taken with the idea that this non-desi found comfort in, of all things, BOLLYWOOD after breaking off an engagement. and i was touched that she titled a post , " Don't let this stop you from loving Bollywood (Brown Identity Issues)". it was like..."i've gone on and on about Bollywood and i know it's not perfect, but give it a chance anyway." you don't find that charming?

eh, i'm in a random mood, i'll admit it. writer's block is sitting on my lap and he's fat. this was the first thing i felt like posting about in a while, despite a few really good tips. also, i was on a conference call regarding something verrry exciting last night and the gori facilitator was raving about how much she loves our site-- i'm not looking for validation from the unbrown, but i do want to make sure this is a welcoming place for all reasonable people, especially since i'm probably the most guilty of making it a little inside joke-y, what with all my malayalam words for body parts and uncouth acts. it's not easy to strike the right balance of "cosa nostra" and "something for EVERYONE", but that's my goal. it's a thrill when anyone blogrolls us; when they aren't brown, i feel like we really are doing something right.

it's not the 3 thumbs that makes him hot; it's in spite of having 3 thumbs! His dancing abilities render me paralyzed :)

Not a HritiCk fan but those fake tatoos are making him look real good right about now. And isn't a 3rd finger like a nubbin a la Chandler. How the hell is that something to brag about? Freak!! But I digress... :-)

Speaking of Bollywood... I just turned on the TV and got the shock of my life... Passions on NBC just showed a 20 minute Bollywood dream sequence with all the music and dancingand a bunch of dancing desis... the Ethan, Gwen and Theresa were all decked out as Bollywood actors... the actor who played Ethan danced just like Hrithik!

I just checked the NBC and they have the video on their site. Here's the link

Hey Anna, thanks for the shoutout!

Nina, as for Hrithik's THUMBS, of course I have photos!!! Check out a few screenshots for your viewing pleasure here.
He's really good at keeping the extra one hidden but once you've seen it, you will ALWAYS see it.

Wowza! I must say he is hot, and I don't say that lightly. Normally absolutely perfect specimens like him seem kind of dull, if pretty, but the hand really sets everything else off. Reminds me of Even Cowgirls Get the Blues.

nice to see someone share that sentiment... it's an ideal no doubt... more myth, than reality... but the faith in the ideal is real... or the box office registers wont be cashing in... and that's why i love bollycinema... seeing the faith of the masses (including I) reflected in popular media is reassuring... says more of the indian masses and I ... speaks more to the indian masses and I.

no thumbs! I refuse to believe this unfounded rumor until I see it with mine own eyes! However, this unfounded factoid from IMDB might be the reason why. If it's broken, why not take it off?

"Hrithik Roshan broke his right thumb and a toe during the strenuous training for the ambitious wire work used in the film. Despite only 25 days of training in China, his instructor, Siu-Tung Ching, thought that he could pull off stunts that usually takes years of training."

 21 · DesiDancer on January 28, 2006 08:44 AM · Direct link · “Quote”(?)

no thumbs, you can't really tell from that pic because he tucks to the back. Like all the hijreN ;)

Come on now everybody, let's not make too big a deal about Hrithik's extra thumb (which, incidentally, could have its benefits -- ladies, use your imagination).....The guy probably got enough hassle about it when he was growing up. SM shouldn't zero in on it every damn time his name comes up in some discussion.

Anyway, he seems to be going for the Vin Diesel "XXX" look in that photo.....

I am his fan
