Since the News tab turned out so well, here’s a new Events tab for your pleasure (thanks, Abhi). Readings, plays, premieres, your own mini-meetups — feel free to post away.
Unlike the rest of the blog, events are sorted forward by time. That means upcoming events are shown first so you can see what’s happening in the next couple of days. Click the address to get a map to the event. Past events expire automatically.
The 
subscription feed will be up in the next few days.

Heh. Well, only because it would play into my theory that by the time our children are grown up, blogging will be have much the same economic function as debutante balls and polo matches. And also because when I was snooping around your room in the North Dakota bunker I snuck a look at the plan for world domination, so I know where this is all really headed. ;-)

Don't worry. SM is just like Gillette. We have grand plans but only unveil them once you stock up on the old product. This is like going from Mach 3 (3 blades) to Turbo (5 blades). Soon we shall have 21 blades. It is, dare-I-say, destiny.
Very nice Manish. Impressive responsiveness to suggestions also. So while we're at it, my suggestion is to be able to sort on "most recently added" (in addition to "date of event").

I just love the idea of Sepia Destiny. Matchmaking is the auntiest of all all desi instincts. We're all brown yentas. Mutinous matchmaking...has a nice ring, no?
However, I will most likely be quite horrified if dear SM unveils anything like that and protest repeatedly and tediously until my fingers are blistered. And, of course, pretend I never thought otherwise.

It hasn't hit the UK of A yet. I wanted to buy it just to show my foolish British friends they are worthless with their Quattros and Mach 3s, I would've shaved in the streets to let everyone know I sextuple shave but the replacement blades were so pricey I left it be.

All the talk of Sepia Destiny aside, would it be possible to have a "Classifieds" tab? I'm thinking of job opportunities mostly, for people in need of desi dancers, teachers, writers, translators, muscians, actors, etc., to post away and tap into the font of overeducated, underemployed creative brainiacs on this site. It could be seperated into catagories just as the events are seperated by location.
what do you think?! Could we do it? I'm desperately in need of some...people.. for some...things. Could we? Pleeease??
