The Mutiny Rolls OnBlog

…and we’re back! You’re reading this now and so you’ve made it over to our new home.

Welcome to the new and improved Mutiny. If everything looks exactly as it did before, then we’ve done our jobs well.

While the other Mutineers are busy fighting over bathrooms and the most luxuriously appointed living quarters, Kunjan and I will be napping blissfully in our king-size master suites (having arrived first, we naturally staked out the prime real estate in advance).

Thanks for your patience during this transition and please let us know if you notice anything strange.

Right next to the coffee machine, I might add. That's all I care for!

in the barmaid's post, the accent marks don't show up, but show up as chinese characters. at least on my computer.

Now that the Mutineers have moved to the new SM headquarters, did you manage to install a stripper pole in the basement ?

For the chimpanzees to swing around on. What did you think I meant ?

On the "Events" tab, when I click on "2" or "Next", it does not go to the next page.

Just out of curiosity, who's the new web host for SM now?

In the news tab. clicking next or choosing one of the other pages doesn't do anything. I keep getting the same (first) page.

The news and event tabs have been fixed. Please leave a comment on this post if you encounter any other problems.

Regarding the 'chinese' characters and the HTML in comments issue, Paul will have a fix for it soon!

The problem with comments not accepting the underline and strike formatting commands has been fixed.

Okay, you guys scared me for a second with this "Chinese" characters issue - I was afraid that entries hadn't copied over properly from the old server. Fortunately, the problem looks to have stemmed from an incorrectly defined default charset (I imagine this means little to most of you, the sane amongst you). Regardless, everything should be working fine now... if you still see funny characters, please clear your browser cache, close your browser and revisit the page. If the problem still persists, please post here and let us know.

Masale.Wallah - we've switched to a Layered Tech dedicated host (on Krishnan's suggestion, who has been a big help during the transition).

Abu - you and me both, believe me

Let's hope everything's working and I can avoid Janeofalltrade's wrath at least a little bit longer...

For lack of anywhere else to post this, I thought I'd stick it in here.
I just happened to install a new extension for Firefox called LeakMonitor.
anyway, since I've installed it and visited SM, I've noticed that the sitemeter script here seems to be causing a memory leak.
I dont know if it's anything you guys can do much about, but I just thought I'd let you know, what with all of Firefoxe's runaway memory issues and all that.

Technical support: SM website doesn't look the same on my computer. All graphics, except the top SM banner, and the sepia color has been lost. Not even the sidebar with links and all.
