Clinton Endorses Malakar?Politics

Hilly.jpg

In further American Idol Idiocy news, Senator Bharat Obama isn’t the only Democratic Presidential contender being linked to our papaya Sanjaya! I am telling you, I can’t make up shit this good:

During a radio call-in on WOKQ-FM, Sen. Hillary Clinton was asked what the United States can do about Malakar, the Fox television show’s underdog candidate who critics say lacks any shred of talent.
“That’s the best question I’ve been asked in a long time,” Clinton said. “Well, you know, people can vote for whomever they want. That’s true in my election, and it’s true on ‘American Idol.’ “ [linkaya]

That’s right, America.

YOU ARE FREE TO VOTE FOR OUR PAPAYA!

In unrelated idiocy, it seems the utterly uncalled-for, haterade-fueled hunger strike against our cutie-patootie wasn’t pathetic enough; someone has exiled themselves to the roof of a car dealership, to protest Sanjaya’s winning streak:

The producer of “Chio In The Morning” on WRDW-FM in Philadelphia has been living in a little tent on top of the roof of a local Toyota dealership for the last week.
He’s battled rain and wind — but swears he won’t leave while Sanjaya remains on “Idol.” [linkaya]

No matter where you stand on Papaya, can we all just send Sanjaya Malakar a rousing chorus of “THANKS, FOR THE MEMORIES”? You must admit, this is ridiculously entertaining.

More power to you SM. And I’m not just saying that because you have bomb initials. ;)

LOVE IT!!! Sanjaya is awesome. He created his own momentum w/ no help from the judges, and now the producers are at his mercy to save them from the most boring.season.ever!

Nancy Pelosi gave a shout out to our 1/2 brown brethern too. She said she was late coming to the Tonight Show b/c she had to cast a vote for Sanjaya. Wheee!!

Freakin' crazy!!

That Toyota dealership is like 2 miles from my house. I've seen the tent up there several times -- I'm sure the dude is hurting right now (what with the current ongoing weather nightmare we're having.

Still, I'm going to go up there and talk to the guy who's doing it before this is done!!!

It gets better, Bruce Willis apparently sported a Faux-Hawk during a recent taping of The Late Show With David Letterman to show his support.

Hehe, love the Bruce Willis comment.

As for the idiot in the tent, if I was anywhere near there, I would just launch a volley at the tent with a paintball gun.

Hillary should know. Bill Clinton was Sanjaya of sorts. Remember Bill's last term? A very high level committee was investigating a national crisis involving body fluid stains on Monica's dress, the President was parsing the very definition of oral sex to substantiate his claim that he "never had sex with that woman," the NASDAQ was soaring to 5,000, the average American's 401K was fat like a Christmas goose, the country was riding high and just laughing away at the President's sexual shenanigans inside the Oval Office. American idols, national jokes.

Amrita, thanks for the links. Fun stuff. I read this quote somewhere a while ago : "Celebrities are the real heroes".

Shankar, that quote is from The Onion. It was next to a picture of a fireman. :)

My pleasure Shankar! Here's Forbes today. I'm a bit thrown by the Papaya's bandana angled up over curls this evening, but I think he did good with Bonnie Raitt. We'll only hear what he sang when they put out the MP3. He did do a couple of things too subtle for Simon to catch, not karoke. I have no clue who this nervous-shervous Martina McBride might be-- imagine how much more fun they'd all have had with Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson, Sheryl Crow, Naomi Judd, Emmylou Harris....

She is trying to appease the Desi population for her past remarks.

Pretty lame try, really, in terms of "endorsement"-- good you put in a question mark, Anna. I'm interested to see what happens next. Bichara Papaya-- how rude the Fox coverage of his sister afterwards.

My DVR or the over-the-air signal from Fox went down 25 minutes into the broadcast tonight, otherwise I'd have posted the elmination and video montage. Sorry folks.

I hate Chio in the Morning. God, please let one of the giant pigeons from 17th street roost in the hole where his brain once was.

Battling rain on the roof, huh? Mwahahahaha...Philly's been having some serious storms recently....

This would also explain why the radio's been more appealing lately.
