Ain't No Sunshine When He's GoneComics

A raccoon, a turtle and a squirrel walk in to a bar…and nothin’. But this procyonid, testudine and rodent are a bit more useful than that—they’re amusing. Via Sajaforum:

Sigh. This Sanjaya free-existence is almost unbearable.

Come back, little papaya, with or without those bees. We long to know what directions your tresses could have taken next, what conditioner you use, and whether you ‘poo. No, really…do you? And where do you stand on hair oil? Perhaps we’ll never know…

Sanjaya goes on tour with American Idol over the summer. Papaya galore!

This whole business about not shampooing irks me a little (as a chemist). First of all, just using conditioner doesn't address that problem because, well, conditioners have chemicals too (and many of the same ones as shampoo). In fact, water is a chemical, so be sure you don't drown the next time you decide not to shampoo! ;)

Is he really gone? Maybe he will soon record an album.

Though seriously, he should reappear in the American Idol's finals. The show has gotten so boring without him.

there is no american idol sans sanjaya.

I'm sure people will remember Sanjaya when someone talks about American Idol. What a brave boy with childist heart ! I really like how Sanjaya managed criticism from media/public/judges at age of 17.
Sanjaya all the best to you! We all care for you.

Has nobody heard the shocking details??

Sanajaya is possibly going to appear on the crappy VH1 show I Love New York 2. Check it out: http://ilovenewyork2.com/people/Sanjaya

Seriously....what's up with my papaya? Is the not-so-hot New York his choice woman for proving his masculinity? Not cool, not cool at all.

That video has been up on YouTube for a while-- anyone could have put it up. It sure is getting votes...Look, Anna, here's a new pic or two!!! Our Papaya went to a mall in Federal Way/Seattle with bodyguards and cops amd mom and sister. Lens distortion aside, his hands are still bigger than his face, here as in other pics, which means he has many inches to grow-- I remember my daughter Bear recently in that tiny-times-face but full-size-hands-and-feet phase.

He's been voted by the viewers as the #3 most influential person in Time's viewers 100, behind Stephen Colbert and Rain, an Asian singer (!!!).

viewers should read 'Time readers'

The bees being gone should be bigger news than Sanjaya :-)

And there are various theories on why the bees are gone, ranging from genetically modified crops to parasites to global warming. But the upshot is: no one really knows.

Scary.

Amphibians...disappearing. Bees...also disappearing. FISH...yup, losing those, too.

Avi, you beat me to it! Just saw on Colbert Report, Stephen made a great parody of Rain..hilarious..no video on youtube yet..its not so fast after all :P . I tipped SM the very first day Sanjaya appeared on that list. Anna, how many times did you vote, honestly? :)

I thought Sanjaya was 17? The VH1 site says 21...? Maybe I am just misreading. :)

Actually, while the show is a bit more boring, it's just because there aren't as many unique and scathing moments of criticism. Everything suddenly seems a bit more gray. Sanjaya was kind of like the color in Pleasantville (no race pun intended).

Not once, honestly. :) I hate AI, I just love papaya. He's got the sweetest spirit.

I used to watch AI religiously, but after Simon said an early contestant looked like a bush baby, I decided not to watch anymore. However, I couldn't resist watching Sanjaya clips on YouTube. I liked his pre-AI gospel performance.

Though some of his singing is mediocre, I can't help rooting for a fellow desi.

I don't know how anyone, let alone a 17 yr old kid, could face national criticism/mockery with as much confidence/humility/humour as Sanjaya ... hope he has a successful career ahead. Someone who can laugh at himself when being laughed at by a whole nation - definitely deserves great many things in life.

Ok.. Is it possible to artifically polinate flowers so that fruits grow ?

sadaiappan! Who you callin a fruit, man?

 25 · Salil Maniktahla on May 11, 2007 10:28 PM · Direct link · “Quote”(?)

I'm guessing that Sadaiyappan wants to help out with the missing bees, and not try and procreate to make more Sanjayas.

There's a joke in here about birds, bees, and fruits, and Sanjaya being a girl's name. But for the life of me, I can't find it yet.

I agree. That inability to laugh at oneself is, in my mind, the greatest failing of our generation of brownz. We really just take ourselves too damn seriously, all the time.

Tough. He needs to get Cs in college, get DUI, get into alcoholism, bum around, maybe even dodge service. Too much to place on a young man's shoulders.
