"Saar, saar- new order saar...100 more effigies!"Humor

Bips.JPG

Time for something fluffier: Bipasha + Ronaldo? Maybe!

They were hosting the Seven Wonders of the World party in Lisbon together. And they got along so well:

Revealing the details, she said: “I felt like a princess. He gave me so many compliments. He danced with me throughout the night. There were 50,000 jealous women staring at us. I must’ve got so much Portuguese bud-dua (bad wishes) that night. The local girls wanted to murder me. Now he wants to e-mail me regularly.”
During dinner Cristiano told Bipasha that he was a big fan of Bollywood. “I thought he was just trying to be sweet. I told him he didn’t have to say he liked Bollywood films just to please me.
Cristiano fished out his cell phone and made me hear Tujhse naraaz nahin from Masoom. He said, ‘Now do you believe me?’
Bipasha laughs about her interaction with the soccer star. “Though he looks older, Cristiano is very young, just a boy. Now I’ve told him, I’m only his fan on the field. Beyond the field he’s my friend. [HT]

He is young, just 22, and this detail apparently bothers many. How dare she! A younger man!

What does SHE have to say for herself?

Cristiano Ronaldo may not have been at a social distance when the photo being splashed on TV screens and the internet was clicked using a cell phone camera, but it isn’t a kiss that the photo shows, and definitely not a lip lock, says the livid bongshell.
“All the joy of that meeting with my favorite footballer has evaporated,” she laments.
“I don’t need to explain my behavior. I’m a free-spirited person. But I’m not footloose. It takes me a long time to become close to anyone. I’m certainly not some giddyheaded teenager who would get so carried away in Ronaldo’s company that I’d kiss him in public. My business manager Tanuja and dress designer Rocky S were present, would I be that dumb? There are far more discreet and private places to do such things. Even if I was single, I would not get carried away at my first meeting with a 22-year-old boy, no matter how big a celebrity he is, to misbehave with him in public.” [SAWF]

And her forlorn, forsaken, half-Mallu honey?

“When John started surfing the Net, he was shocked to see pictures of Bipasha splashed everywhere. Obviously, Bipasha had not informed him about this episode. John seemed very upset and what added to his misery was that everyone knew about the episode.”
John was very embarrassed to face anyone…and preferred to be alone after he learnt about the controversy. [TOI]

John. Poor, dear murungakkai of mine— if you need a shoulder to cry on…I’m all yours…unless Sunkrish Bala calls, that is. ;)

What John - whom I consider to be the zoolander par excellence - needs is a good meal of rice (parboiled of course), kaalan, and erachi or fish molee, downed with chukkuvellam.

Afterwards he stepped on John Abrahams crotch and winked at his teammates.*

From the racial-sexual politics angle, I find this more acceptable than Richard Gere's sleazy smooches. Cristiano's a young guy, attractive (albeit effeminate) and I'm thinking he was the one who was starstruck.

*look up his world cup antics

Two Indian South Asians have recently been charged with participating in the UK terrorism plot and nary a has word written about it by SM bloggers. Surely the arrest of two browns in connection with a terrorism plot has more serious ramifications for the community than the antics of a flamboyant footballer and a Bollywood floozy?

Desi media specially the TV News is too hungry for this kind of stuff. News channels here are actually more entertaining than entertainment channel. Just yesterday i saw a news show showing various(at least 6) beating/slapping incident occured in last 24 hours. Freaking hillerious stuff. Then they brought some freak kid who was speaking gibbrish in American accent. The day before they were showing weird lights appearing in northern sky over Delhi.

So, what's "everywhere"? I mean, I would not know about this "fluffy" story without reading SM. John would have to be browsing all the tabloids or have to be reading SM to know about this, wouldn't he?

Have you been here for the last week? It's been unusually somber-- most topics covered have been very serious. This is about balance. Several people who sent in this tip reminded us of as much.

We are on hiatus. We told everyone that we were winding down and "going fishing" and to expect no new posts. It's surprising that you expected us to cover x, y or z desi-related story, after we stated that.

Some may find the story vapid, but I am certianly not one of those people....the pressing question at hand is, who on EARTH would dare to double up on John Abraham??? Bipasha is lucky to have Ronaldo, let alone John (yes, I'm on a first name basis). Bottom line? I hate the bitch.

Wait, is she saying it was the kiss that didn't happen, that he was actually whispering in her ear, never mind the direction he's heading in the photo, or is she saying that it's "indeeshent" to receive a smooch? That bongshell would do better saying A Kiss is Just a Kiss, instead of putting out all this tamasha. Is this the current way to wear one's sari or maybe one''s choli and ghagra?

Yeah, Ronaldo was better than Richard Gere, and younger, too.

I don't know too much about her, but she did John Abraham wrong...surprisingly even though she's a big star, from her interviews, she seems as if she is the one who is star-struck. Star-struck is fine, but so star-struck that you risk your relationship to flirt with a 22 year-old -- please. Get some dignity.

How so, Cristiano is a white (probably Christian) Portugese man. The Christian Portugese colonized India.

Gere is a Buddhist. Rather than colonize India, he adopted a religion from there.

Gere's move was more politically correct then.

Do tell. Is there a Mia Hamm angle involved, now that Nom-aah's star is fading... By the way, one of the other photos I saw had Bipasha wearing a big rock on the ring finger of her left hand. Was that just decoration?

What John - whom I consider to be the zoolander par excellence

Just because he went to a school for actors who can't talk or act too good?

A N N A! I heard that a cat was trapped in a well... somewhere in India, I'm sure. I was hoping there would be an expose on the inhumane conditions of felines and the danger they face from holes in the ground. Why this anti-cat agenda on SM? Was it because it was a male cat?

all i gotta say is niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice. there's nothing wrong with making out in public. not on the street or anything, but in the club....that's the goal......i wish more indian women wouldn't be such goodie-goodies....being bad is way more fun.....this girl looks sooooooo hot in some pictures....it sucks that she has to deny it. she obviously wanted it, but for work reasons/societal pressures she has to pretend otherwise....i doubt her man really cares since it is most likely just a relationship to enhance their publicity anyway. plus they are not married...it's only unnacceptable behaviour if you cheat on your spouse....99% of indian men will say she did something wrong; but if they have a spare 500 rupees they will going go bang the local ho even though they have a wife and two kids at home.

24/7 why is it wrong to make out in public in the street... why should you pay five hundred rupees cover... and listen to crappy music just to get a little bit of touchy feely action.. poor indian men also have needs...

Ronaldo sucks, most overrated footballer ever, at least with ronaldiniho there is credibility and class. Sure he is a bit odd looking, but at least he’s a big game player!!
