Obama Says, "Aajaaah!"Humor

Happy Humpday! In light of the terrible news this week, I thought that we might risk a few demerits and turn to something cheery:

Obama sings along to “Chori Chori Gori Se” (originally from Mela (2000), and subsequently used in The Guru (2003)) in this YouTube mashup that has been circulating for a few months now. If you haven’t checked it out already, get ready for 2:16 minutes of pure, trippy bliss.

Something about the senator from Illinois has inspired a massive outpouring of creativity… paintings and art, video mashups, songs, goofy websites… Is it the iambic meter of his name, Barack Obama? The surprise of politician on the national stage with a name with so many fun vowels that just roll around the mouth? Something about the man that makes disparate groups of Americans want to claim him for their own?

I’ve seen Irish-ized O’Bama Tshirts around, but nothing particularly South Asian has stuck out so far. So here’s the challenge: How to make Barack Obama desi? I’ve got Baraminder Obama Singh (Punjabi?), Obamanaratnam (Tamil?)… and yeah, those are sort of weak. I expect better in the comments. Best response will be highlighted in an update!
